Faro Punta de Jandia

The Punta Jandía Lighthouse is an active navigational aid situated on the island, distinguished from the Morro Jable lighthouse, which is also located on the Jandía peninsula.

The lighthouse’s name is derived from its position on the Punta de Jandía, at the very tip of the expansive Jandía peninsula, which forms the south-western part of the island. Wikipedia

Constructed in 1864, the Punta Jandía Lighthouse is among the oldest in the Canary Islands. It features a small museum showcasing marine life exhibits and offers a viewing deck with panoramic views, although the deck is currently closed to visitors.

Access to the lighthouse is via a road starting from Morro Jable. The route is not fully tarmacked, and it is narrow and winding in sections, so caution is advised when travelling there.
