In the south-east of the island and close to the commercial bustle of Gran Tarajal, Las Playitas offers the chance to enjoy a small fishing village. Its white houses with their blue stripes mark out a charming seafront promenade lapped by the water. And in its restaurants you can taste delicious fresh fish brought in by its artisans from the sea every day.
The town is divided into two distinct parts. On one side is the fishing village itself, and on the other is a long beach of volcanic sand where you can enjoy water sports such as windsurfing. Six kilometres from Las Playitas, the La Entallada lighthouse offers beautiful views of the sea and the Cuchillos de Vigán mountain area, declared a Natural Monument.
