Antigua Craft Fair 1st to 4th May 2025
The 36th Craft Fair of Antigua begins on Labour Day with local artisans.
The Craft Fair takes place in the Plaza de Antigua. Bars, restaurants, taxis and businesses participate directly or indirectly and receive thousands of visitors.
Visitors can engage with the craftsmen, learning about their processes and the cultural significance behind their creations. Workshops and demonstrations will be held throughout the event, allowing attendees to experience firsthand the techniques that have been passed down through generations.
In addition to the crafts, the fair will celebrate the local gastronomy. Stalls will offer a delicious array of traditional dishes, snacks, and beverages, giving visitors a taste of Fuerteventura‘s culinary heritage. 18:00 Presentation of the book: “Memorias de pancito”. It is one of the last ceramists of Gran Canaria, by Silverio López Márquez from the Territorio Imaginario collective and Avelina Fernández Manrique de Lara, Councillor for Culture of the municipality of Santa Brígida
19:00 Presentation of the book “Cosiendo sueños” by the artisan Carmen González Bello from Majorera
19:30 Performance by the folklore group La tafeña valle corto

10:30-1:30 Craft workshops: Micro and macro macramé 11:00 am Performance by the Bandita and Quinteto de Viento Madeira from the Pájara Music and Dance School
11:30 a.m. Performance by the Maxorata folklore group
12:00 pm Performance by the island’s folklore school
12:30 p.m. Performance by the choir of the Island School of Music. At 13:00 p.m. Music concert by Paco Perera “New Canarian Folklore”
13:30-16:30 Craft workshops include textures of clay and other crafts typical of the Craft Fair held in Antigua.
16:30-19:30 Craft workshops: Introduction to leatherworking. At 18:00 Concert by Silvestre Ramirez: a quartet with soloists Ciro Corujo, Pedro Manuel Afonso, and Marivi Cabo.

Mrs. Bianca Scarpari, master craftswoman from Tuineje in the Almazuelas category.
Big music concert by the folk music group Los Gofiones.
14.00 hrs Raffle for a free purchase at the 36th Street. You will receive the raffle tickets with every purchase during the fair.

19.00 hrs Closing ceremony of the 36th Craft Fair of the island,
20:00 hrs. Closing of the fairgrounds, marking the end of the fair.
