Hola FM

Hola FM Radio Fuerteventura is the oldest and largest German-language radio station on Fuerteventura and has been broadcasting since 2009.

Starting with an FM transmitter in La Lajita, a second transmitter was soon added in Morro Jable, in the very south of the island. Its popularity grew steadily and was soon no longer limited to the south of Fuerteventura, but spread beyond the island’s borders. Similarly, the popularity of Hola FM’s cheerful music grew among all nationalities, especially the Spanish and Majoreros. In 2018, a third FM transmitter was added in the centre of the island, enabling Hola FM to broadcast almost island-wide, but unfortunately with some gaps in the north of the island due to topographical reasons.

Operation and expansion since January 2025

After the founder of the station took his well-deserved retirement at the end of 2024, the station has been operating and expanding under new management since January 2025. Since the end of December 2024, a fourth FM frequency has been added, located in Lanzarote. This means that Hola FM Radio Fuerteventura / Lanzarote is now the only German-language station that can actually be heard across the entire island. The gaps in the north have been closed and around three-quarters of Lanzarote now also benefit from our program. As a result, the listener community continues to grow, not only on the islands, but also worldwide via our Website (https://holafm.com ↗), each „Amazon Alexa“, any radio App, e.g. „Receiver“, „radio.de“ or „Tunein“ and of course any solid Internet-Radio, like „BOSE“ or others.

Hola FM Radio is on it’s way of further growing. In future we plan to expand to Teneriffa and Gran Canaria and we plan to offer a digital listening via DAB+.
