Sustainable Consumption Day in Puerto del Rosario
Program of the event:
9:30 am – Opening of the day and screening of the documentary “Closing the Loop” (Carpa).
9:30 am – 2:30 pm – Workshops for children on the circular economy, sustainable tourism, biodiversity conservation and zero-mile products.
9:50 a.m. – Presentation of the zero-mile product (Carpa).
10:15 a.m. – Presentation on sustainable tourism by Antonio Jesús Álvarez Ramírez (Visionary Hospitality) (Carpa).
10.40:00 – Lecture on biodiversity (Carpa).
11:05 – Lecture on sustainability, by Matías Manuel González Hernández (Carpa).
11.30:00 – Lecture on circular economy by Juan Carlos Martín and Concepción Román (Carpa).
12:00 – Theater performance “If you waste, you will be consumed”.
12.45:00 – Concert by Cristina Quesada.
13.30h – Concert by the Plunger Dixie Band.
On the occasion of Sustainable Consumption Day next Saturday, March 15, various activities will take place aimed at promoting responsible and sustainable habits in the community. The event will take place from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the Plaza de la Paz in Puerto del Rosario. It will include presentations, workshops for children, theatrical performances, and concerts to raise public awareness of the importance of conscious and environmentally friendly consumption. Organize the Municipality of Puerto del Rosario through the Department of Consumer Affairs.
The Biosphere Reserve and the Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) Queso Majorero will participate in the event to promote awareness of equitable development. They will emphasize the shared responsibility for the protection of our planet. Sustainable Consumption Day emphasizes this shared responsibility.
